My Blogiversary and Joyful Jewelry Giveaway!
Some anniversary dates can be sad or even traumatic, but some are joyful and call for celebration. Today is a wonderful one because it is my one year BLOGIVERSARY! In case you missed the post that started it all…Take a peek. I have been publicly hunting for the blissful things in my life for the last 365 days, and it has been so much fun. I read a stat somewhere that most blogs die out within the first six months, so I’m totally stoked to have the desire and motivation to push on into year number two! I cannot explain how grateful I am to have all you caring and kind readers and followers. I feel very blessed. Ok, I’m starting to tear up… What I’m trying to say is, well, I love you dear reader. That’s right, I LOVE YOU, and I’m not afraid to say it.
I have been wanting to do a giveaway for some time now….ever since I won my first one. Then I won again, and I was reminded that I needed to get on the ball and do my own. I thought that it would be extra fun to do a giveaway on my blog’s 1 year anniversary to show my appreciation for my followers. So, I called my friend Jen, who makes bright, timeless pieces of jewelry, and asked if she wanted to hook a sister up. She obliged because she rocks!
Take a look at the prize…A semi-precious stone on gold plated wire. Love these!

Alexa, my lovely model and friend, wears her two pieces of Joyful Jewelry together on a daily basis.

We thought it would be fun to put a bunch of them on her at once. The result may have spawned inspiration for a new design.

Sorry, but you can only choose one.

They also look lovely on their own.

This is the one Jen wears everyday. So simple and pretty.

Jen and Alexa. Beauties, in and out.

TO ENTER:
1. Leave a comment telling me about what brings you the most joy.
2. Go and ‘like’ Jen’s Facebook page Joyful Jewelry.
The winner of the giveaway will be able to customize their necklace by choosing from 5 semi-precious stones. The length of chain will also be decided by the winner. The winner will be randomly selected out of a hat. The giveaway will close on Sunday March 10, 2013 at noon (MST). Good luck everyone! And remember, you are all winners in my mind!
**If you don’t win, and live in Bozeman, these pieces and others are sold at Indulgence.
XO, Tobi

i find JOY in getting outside of me and INTO the many YOUS
ooo, i like that one
Happy Blogiversary! Ok, so this is a fabulous giveaway! One of the many things that brings me joy is reading fun and inspiring blogs (especially yours.). It always lifts my spirit even when I’m having a not so great day.
I’m glad the giveaway did not disappoint! I also love to read blogs
Happy Blogiversary! I’ve loved reading your blog these last several months, and I can’t wait to read more.
Also! Those necklaces are absolutely stunning. So I’mma have to enter, if that’s okay.
One of the things that brings me the most joy is just being outside on a nice hike here in Southern California. Especially if I’m birding or if my husband is walking next to me.
I agree that a nice hike is so enjoyable, even more-so when your lovah is alongside
Walking my dog in the morning, seeing all the animal tracks and watching the eagles soaring overhead!
that sounds neat, “eagles soaring overhead”!!
Happy, happy Blogiversary Tobi! So glad you’ve kept at it, even now that you’re back in school, because your blog definitely brings me joy. What else? Oh, I know. Prince! Yesterday I walked into a store and they were playing Little Red Corvette, which is one of my fave songs of all time. I couldn’t stop myself from rocking out a little
Beautiful necklaces…I’m off to “like” on facebook now.
Aw, thanks Rian. Your blog is also wonderful! It’s always fun to hear a classic when you least expect it, and suddenly you find yourself doing a little shuffle in the middle of a store!
Most joy is being with a good group of friends and just talking. No movie, no distraction, just a good cup of coffee and a bunch of laughs.
Agreed!! Thanks for playing along
Woo hoo, happy blogiversary, Tobi! Those necklaces are seriously beautiful. I love the look of many worn together, but I adore the simplicity of one. Perfect for any occasion!
Thanks, Jorie! So….I know you like the necklaces but I don’t know if you’ve officially entered the contest
What brings you the most joy??!!
Look who has two thumbs and can’t follow directions!
What brings me joy right this moment: the thought of being able to roll the clocks forward and get an extra hour of sunlight this weekend means that spring and summer are just around the corner! Doesn’t get much more joyous than that!
It happens, I was just giving you a hard time! I am over-joyed for spring, and daylight savings, and sunlight!!! Gah!!
TOBI, GREAT IDEA GIVING…….. WATCHING MY GRANDKIDS PLAY SPORTS AND ENJOYING THEMSELVES. aLSO WHEN MY KIDS AND THERE FAMILIES GET TOGETHER AND WE ALL LAUGH. CERTAINLY DOESN’T HAPPEN AS OFTEN AS I WISH, BUT HEY EVERYONE HAS A LIFE, RIGHT???
I also love getting together and having good laughs!!
Congrats, Tobi! What an accomplishment to make it a year with sites set to keep blogging, following your bliss. Learning something new always brings me joy, doesn’t have to be fancy or profound, simply something I wasn’t aware of before. Those necklaces are beautiful I’ll be off to complete this giveaway task
What has brought you joy during your blogging adventure? Be well!
I love to learn, so I get what you are saying, although sometimes it’s a bit painful! My joy has come from making so many connections! As an introvert, it is refreshing to have online friends, it feels good and safe somehow. I love the interactions through comments and stories. I love how I take more pictures and I notice more of the details in life (which, ironically is the point of my blog!). xoxo
Love you too Tobi and your blog, happy blogiversary! Yeah that doesn’t sound creepy… HA! HA!
These are super cute necklaces, it’s hard to pick which one is my fav though. I can tell you that there are many things that make me happy, my hubby with his smile and laugh, my pups with their sweet faces… I can go on and on!
Not creepy at all! Thanks for sharing. Puppies are always huge bringers of the JOY
Yay! I love any reason to celebrate- don’t forget the bubbly! Congrats on your blogiversary. I love those pretty necklaces- very simple and elegant.
Joy for me is everywhere- I have been attempting to see it more often. One of my unexpected joys is being woken up every morning earlier than I’d prefer by a snuzzling dog. Cholula definitely loves John the most, but for some reason, mornings are Mama Time. I don’t mind mornings as much with an alarm clock like that!
Aw, Cholula and those ears seem like a great way to wake up <3
Happy Blog-o-versary! Love the necklaces but I love your blog more
MJ
Thanks MJ, that makes me happy
Happy blogiversary, Tobi! What joy it must give you to know that you have defied the statistics and are on your way to Year 2. I know I’m excited for you!
As for my own joy, the last few days I got some quality family time with my family in Boston. One of the best parts: my 3-year old nephew loudly asking, “Where’s Auntie?!?!” and the smile that stretched across his face when he “found” me. There is something so rewarding about bonding with children and I cannot tell you the cloud of joy I have been flying on since spending time with my long-distance family. Now, if only they didn’t live so far…
Isn’t being an auntie the best thing in the world?! It brings me SO much joy as well. I can’t imagine being a parent could be any better than being an auntie.
My family brings me the very most joy! Especially Javier and my pups
Happy blogiversary!!! We love reading your blog!
Thanks Leslie! It’s hard to beat the hubs and the pups, I would have to agree with that!!
Happy blogiversary to you!! These necklaces are so simple and beautiful – I love it!
I find joy in the story I am building through adventure, peace and traveling
Thanks, Jessy! I like how you find joy! Well done!
What brings me the most joy is my family, far and near. They drive me to be better, healthier, and stronger.
That’s great to have a family like that!
Hearing my girls giggles as they play together – that is joy in my heart.
My kids bring me mucho joy congrats on the blog Tobi.
Thanks Anna!
Joy! Joy! Joy! Easy to find. Glorious to share. Simple joys: Jeffery’s laugh, Zaydee’s smile (gotta love dog smiles), Maya’s nose rub plus purr (cat cuddler), sunrise, sunset and sweet sleep (rare BIG joy for this insomniac. Love your bliss hunt, jewelry and web presence my dear.
ALL fabulously joyful things…I totally agree
Thanks for following Amber! Welcome!
