Hair Update Número Uno {AND} Friday Dlog
So there’s not too much to report on hair, I mean ‘on here’. I was really hoping that with each two weeks that went by, I’d be able to show tangible proof that my hair is actually growing. But, disappointingly, there is no such proof.
I had the back of my hair trimmed last week in the spirit of mullet prevention. I also started taking prenatal vitamins, but so far all they’ve done is make my pee florescent.
Here is a photo of my (severe lack) of progress. That cheesy smile is 82% fake. Looks like this whole hair growth plan is going to take a while. Sigh.
In closing, I leave you with an adorable Loca photo. Surely she will detract from the somber mood this post has, no doubt, put you in. Doesn’t she just look so zen in this photo, with her little legs crossed? By the way, her hair grows way faster than mine and that is totally unfair.
Happy Friday!
XO, Tobi

2 egg yolks, 2 tabelspoons olive oil, 1 cup water. Mix well together then massage into your scalp and hair. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes then wash out. Egg yolks are rich in proteins, vitamins and fatty acids which make your hair softer, shinier, healthier AND help it to grow longer!
It’s worth trying anyways! And on the upside, you are one of the few people in the world who can pull off short hair!
I will definitely be trying this recipe! It can’t hurt, right?! Thank you for the compliment. I think some of my angst comes from my sadness about leaving my short hair behind, because I do love it the way it is now
Your hair looks great, Tobi! A little fuller on top, no?
When I had some stress-related hair loss a couple of years back, I was told to take Biotin–it’s supposed to make your hair grow faster and stronger. Might be worth a shot? Loca looks so soft and sweet in that picture, I just want to give her a big cuddle. Good luck with the hair growth & have a great weekend!
YES! It is a little fuller on top! I have noticed this a tiny bit! I will have to look into the biotin. Will it give me hair on my chest, also?
JK.
Loca is an excellent cuddler, I think she would like that very much. In fact, this photo was taken on a lazy morning in my bed. I hope your weekend is excellent!
I’m growing my hair from a very short pixie cut like yours. It seems to thicken up all over, but only grow visibly longer at the neck. I’m still dealing with this at nearly 4 months… and I thought I had quick growing hair. So good luck, it takes a while
Yes! Mine is the same! Have you taken any supplements or anything?
nah, I eat a pretty good diet, and figure nature can take care of the rest. But I’m the girl who wants to get pregnant and can’t be bothered with taking a prenatal 80% of the time, so this is typical behavior for me.
I understand, I hate taking pills!!
I want to cuddle Loca too! It seems like you have a tiny little bit more hair. I’m sure it’ll show much more in a month
PATIENCE!
Patience is a virtue!! It’s just so hard!! Thanks for the encouragement, Cecile
I am “obsessed” by hair, so when I hit your blog for the first time, and saw this was the first post, I was delighted. I think your hair style is cute on you, but I *totally* understand the unquenchable desire to get hair to grow faster. If you want my advice, get a hormonal problem. My friend stopped taking the pill a while back and all her hair grows really fast. She’s just lucky she doesn’t have a ‘tache.
Thank you for the comment! I’m sorry that I’m just now responding!! I’m good on the hormone problem, I think I already have one but I don’t know if it’s affecting my body hair. Thanks for stopping by
